Where Are They Now – BTN Trainee Programme 2014/15

Michaela McElroy took part in BTN 2013/14 and came back to take part in our first ever trainee programme. Michaela learned about the various aspects of BTN and has now promoted and organised successful events at Stereo, King Tut’s and the classic Grand. Through the programme she was recognised by Ticketmaster and was employed to work at the box office for this year’s T In The Park. Later this year Michaela will move into second year at UWS where she is studying a degree course in commercial music business.

Ibrahim Dikko came through Behind The Noise schools program as a drummer before he was accepted to Glasgow Clyde College to study sound production. He’s a fantastic rapper, break-dancer and showed great skills in his stage management role at BTN’s trainee gig ‘Scottish Heroes’. Ibi also made his way onto the stage at this year’s T:

Alisa Wylie got involved with BTN in a band manager role while at school. As one of this year’s trainees Alisa took on much of the organization for the ‘Scottish Heroes’ event. Her love of music blogging has taken her to Strathclyde University to study English. She regularly interviews bands for a number of blogs and also works part time at King Tuts. Kieran Howe is a young artist and film maker. He designed posters for bands during BTN at school and now studies Film and Television at City of Glasgow College. Kieran created a short documentary for each of the bands that performed at the ‘Scottish Heroes’ show. His camera of choice was also used to shoot his own birth and both his camera and his creative flow are always on.
