As our work experience programme comes to a close for 2016 we’d like to say a massive THANK YOU to Yvonne and Libby at Ticketmaster along with Davie and Jerry at King Tut’s.
Ten BTN students from last year’s project took part. Ticketmaster put four lucky students to work at the Summer Nights at Bellahouston Park box office. D’arcy and Yanna are still arguing over which one of them the bass player from Fallout Boy was smiling at backstage. After working through the frantic world of ticketing and guest lists Yvonne set the students free to go and watch the shows.
A further six students were fortunate enough to work on sound and lighting at legendary live music venue King Tut’s. Each student was allocated a show to work alongside engineer Jerry Radford. They worked through the venue set-up, soundchecks and the actual live shows. Here’s a short clip of Nicole on lights during a Nirvana tribute show.
